FlowFi vs Thriday for Australian sole traders
Thriday built an all-in-one product for Australian small businesses: a transaction account, automated bookkeeping and tax in one app. In January 2026 Thriday was acquired by Tyro and is being folded into Tyro’s payments platform. That is a sensible home for it, because Tyro already serves Australian businesses that take card payments, and it means Thriday’s features and pricing are in transition. Check the current Tyro offering before deciding.
FlowFi takes the opposite approach to the money. It does not provide a bank account and never touches your funds. You keep your existing bank, export a CSV or PDF statement, and FlowFi’s AI categorises it, flags GST and deductions, and prepares every BAS label with a copy-guide for ATO Online. If you want banking and bookkeeping in one place under Tyro, that is a fair choice. If you want software that sits alongside the bank you already have, that is FlowFi.

Thriday is being folded into Tyro’s payments platform. Features, pricing and the app itself may change during that process. If you are a current user, watch for communications from Tyro and keep exports of your data as you go.
Does FlowFi give me a bank account?
No. FlowFi is bookkeeping software only. You keep your existing bank and upload statements from it. FlowFi never holds or moves your money.
Can I move my Thriday history into FlowFi?
If you can export your transactions to CSV, yes. Upload the file and FlowFi will categorise it like any other statement.
