How to export a Beyond Bank statement as CSV for your BAS
Beyond Bank Internet Banking exports a CSV from the Transactions screen once you have set the date range, with PDF statements under Statements. The app offers statements and, on most accounts, an export.

Which format to pick
Choose CSV when it is offered. Beyond Bank also provides PDF statements, which FlowFi reads as well, so a monthly PDF is a fine fallback.
Which dates to pick
Export the whole BAS quarter in one file (1 July to 30 September, 1 October to 31 December, 1 January to 31 March, or 1 April to 30 June) so nothing falls between two exports. For a first upload, start from 1 July so your year-to-date figures are complete. Not sure which quarter you are in? See the BAS due dates.
After you export
Open the file once and check it has a date, a description and an amount for every line, and that it covers the whole period. Then upload it to FlowFi and your quarter is categorised in two minutes: every transaction gets a category and a confidence score, you review only the uncertain ones, GST is flagged per line, likely deductions are marked, and the BAS labels are prepared for you to copy into ATO Online.

Frequently asked questions
Is exporting a Beyond Bank statement safer than connecting a bank feed?
It avoids sharing your Beyond Bank login or granting ongoing access to the account. FlowFi never asks for bank credentials and never touches your money; you export the file yourself and upload it. The trade-off is a minute or two per account each month or quarter.
What if Beyond Bank only gives me a PDF statement?
Upload the PDF. FlowFi reads the transaction table out of PDF statements. CSV is preferred because every line is a clean row, but a monthly PDF statement works, and you can upload all three months of a quarter together.
How far back should I export?
For a first upload, go back to 1 July so your year-to-date income, GST and deductions are complete. After that, export each quarter as it ends, or each month if you like to keep on top of it.
